Guitarist and Teacher

Simone is a flamenco guitarist, world music multi-instrumentalist, classical composer, and improviser. After graduating in classical guitar and spending seven years traveling the world learning traditional music, Simone decided to create his own tradition that combines flamenco, classical, Middle Eastern, and African music. His classical training combined with continuous attempts to understand and communicate with different cultures have made him a versatile musician and a very patient teacher.

Born in Italy, he graduated in guitar from the “L. Marenzio” Conservatory in Brescia, and then studied with Piera Dadomo, Tilman Hoppstock, Dusan Bogdanovic, and composer Antonio Giacometti.

Under the guidance of Oscar Herrero, he devoted himself more seriously to flamenco before moving to Seville and continuing with Tino Van Der Sman, Edoardo Rebollar, and Rafael Riqueni. Everything he knows about rhythm, he owes to his encounters with percussionist Efrain Toro. In Indonesia, the Middle East, and Central Asia, he studied Balinese, Kyrgyz, Afghan, Arab, and North Indian music.
